MAFA, the Mid-Atlantic Fiber Association - an organization of member guilds from the mid-Atlantic region who sponsor a biennial conference

HGA, the Handweavers Guild of America - a national organization of handweavers who sponsor an biennial weaving conference http://www.weavespindye.org/

North Country Spinners - an active spinning group meeting in Blairstown; many members are also weavers; they have a biennial conference in the fall with well known speakers.  Visit their website for more information on their weekend Guild Retreat.   The Retreat is open to non-members; registration is required and there is a fee.

Pennsylvania Endless Mountains Fiber Festival  - here's a fiber festival almost in our back yard in Harford, PA  

Maryland Sheep and Wool Festival - a fabulous sheep and fiber festival in Maryland, always held the first full week-end in May.

Rhinebeck Sheep and Wool Festival - another big sheep festival in New York state in October every year.   

Garden State Sheepbreeders - a local sheep group that holds a sheep and fiber festival in Warren County every September.

Handweaving.Net - over 37,000 weaving drafts in their archives.  Includes The Ralph E. Griswold Digital Archive - An on-line digital archive of documents on weaving, basketry, lace and related topics. Most documents are in Adobe Portable Document Format (PDF).  Adobe Acrobat Reader is required and is available from www.adobe.com .

American Textile History Museum  - Approximately 600 objects from the Museum’s collections of textiles, decorative arts, tools, machinery and workplace artifacts are now available for viewing online.   Under "Collections" you will find the Chace Catalogue.  If you search "coverlet" you will find 292 color photos of  coverlets in the collection.  And this is just the beginning of the museum's efforts to become an easily accessible resource for textile lovers world wide!
